A first!

Ok so I have never had a blog before but decided to try it!! So i will start with our trip we just got home from yesterday :)

So after 11.5 hours of driving we finally arrived in Fort Fraser. The girls were super excited to visit Uncle Ronny and Aunty Christine. The first night we got there we went to visit Rick's cousin Louis and her husband Doug. The girls were too busy watching cartoons to visit that night...had been a looooong day. The next day we took the girls to Beaumont park. What a beautiful place to spend the day. It was super hot out so we all took a dip in the lake.

After cooling off for a bit we drove out to Vanderhoof to have dinner with ricks cousin Jonathon and Paula. Was so happy to see them as we had not seen them since they got engaged. On Saturday we went out to Bill and Mercy's cabin on Fraser lake. SOOOO relaxing. On the way to there we saw a brown bear cub...first bear the girls have ever seen!

As soon as we got there the girls saw the boat and immediately got excited. Ike and Chris were up at the cabin with their boys. Chris offered to take the girls out on the boat and tubing...of course they jumped on that! So they swam out to the boat....well Kierra did...Trinity had to be carried by Ike as she was scared of the sea weed...she was afraid it was going to pull her down and she was going to drown. So how exciting it was to see them go out on the tube....every wave they hit they bounced up in the air, it was cute. Chris had explained the hand signals to the girls...thumbs up for faster and thumbs down for slower. Well as soon as Chris started Trinity immediately did a thumbs up LOL. Chris said the entire time she was on the tube she did the thumbs up....while Kierra did the thumbs down LOL. We know who is going to be the cautious one in our family!!

It was so great to see the girls having fun...but at the same time I was nervous as I waited at the cabin for them to come back after an hour of tubing all around Fraser Lake. That night we went to go and visit Aunty Mercy and Uncle Bill as well as Lyle. On our way there the girls got to see a baby fox so they were excited about that.

Sunday we went back out to the cabin for some more tubing and hanging out with the family. Unfortunately the wind had picked up so it was a short ride on the tube for the girls and no tube ride for me...water was WAY too choppy. After a great day we said goodbye to them and headed back to Ronny's to get ready for our long drive back home the next day.

Once we got back we decided to take the girls for a bike ride down to the caboose. They use the caboose as the tourist info centre. Unfortunately just got a picture of Kierra as Trinity was upset about her bike ride ending.

So we had a great last night with Ronny and Christine. Had a tea party over at the gas station/restaurant/movie store/everything else LOL. While we were there Trinity lost another tooth...she has lots of holes in her mouth now :P We took lots of pictures (just putting up a couple) and the girls had a blast spending time with Uncle Ronny and Aunty Christine.

The next morning we packed up and got in the van for another LONG drive home...saw a moose a Black bear and a couple deer on the way home which the girls were so excited about. Stopped in at Cache Creek...wow all you could see was smoke from the Lilloett fire...it was crazy. All in all it was a good trip...great for the girls to really get to know their relatives up north!

So we are home now...busy day got our HD PVR woohooo(although none of the channels work at the moment...have to get that fixed tomorrow)...and also had a lot of sad moments. Today was the 7th anniversary of my moms death. So took the girls out to the cemetery with Shannon , Kyle and Mya. The kids all took turns cleaning the headstone and giving grandma kisses. I miss her just as much today as I did 7 years ago. Thanks to all the people who took the time to let me know they were thinking of me.
